Counselling for couples can help you:
- Understand and change patterns of behaviour
and beliefs that are either causing problems within your relationship or
in managing relationships with others such as children, former partners
or other family members.
- Develop helpful ways of dealing with a range
of stressors including significant life events such as illness within
the family, endings of relationships, relocation.
An appointment for an initial
consultation for couple counselling can be made by either partner. Since
the focus of counselling is to explore the relationship between you and
significant other people the initial consultation and subsequent
counselling sessions will only take place once both of you have arrived. In line with best practice I will not see either of you individually.
